The Past
WIKKID: Did the character to which this build is based, have any impact on your childhood? A favorite character/ one you looked up to/ thought he just kicked ass?
RYU HAYABUSA: Sixshot is a one man demolishion crew, he's just to badass not to have un updated figure.
W: Did you own the original figure as a child? Did you see the original as satisfactory at the time? How about now?
RH: I never owned the figure myself, thats one of the reasons I made him. I would love to own one myself one day. I'm really hoping encore does a remake of him.
The Present
W: How did the idea for this one first come up? Did you immediately see the potential in the donor figure/figures?
RH: It was after I saw the Hulk tank in the store a few times, the idea kinda popped into my head, I figured it would make the exisiting mold look better.
W: For all those reading, exactly who/what all went into this custom?
RH: He's made from the TF/MARVEL crossover figure, Vector Prime legs, styrene sheets, extra beast wars Optimal Optimus wings, and a remolded head. I used the legs from the hulk figure to make his guns.
W: Were there any major obstacles to overcome in order to achieve the desired results?
RH: Making sure all of the modes work!!
W: Do you prefer to work in favor of toon accuracy, comic accuracy, toy likeness or prefer to "update" in your own style?
RH: I try all of the above, whatever will make the figure look the coolest.
W: What was your original plan of action to execute this custom? For instance, what parts did you plan on using at first and what mods did you want to make to those parts?
RH: Pretty much everything I needed for this I already had somewhere in my junk box. It was just making everything work right, which sometimes in the hobby is a pain in the butt!!
W: Now that things are complete, how close was your original plan to what actually happened?
RH: Everything worked out great in the bash, I'm prety happy with the results.
The Future
W: Looking back, is there anything you would do differently or would have liked to have done?
RH: Nope!
W: Any plans to sell this guy or is he a keeper?
RH: He's a keeper!
W: Is there any other character you hope to tackle in the coming years to pay homage to?
TS: There are a few that I would like to do, but first I have to finish fortress maximus.
